Choosing the right ETL Tool

Recently we were working on a project and client wanted to choose right ETL tool – so we looked and looked and found several options like:

• SSIS
• Fivetran
• Diyotta
• Talend
• Denodo

There are others like IBM and Informatica but due to cost, we didn’t look at them. Each has pros and cons – some are easy to use but have limited connectors while others have ton of connectors but user interface is not great. The other thing that was a surprise was their agent costs to run on various servers. Some have dev licenses while others have prod licenses. So it is all over the map. What has been your experience?
